i have a son who didnt do great in college and basically told me going to military and i told no u are not. he told me mom dont want to waste your money or have to take care of me. I want become a man. Every since his father die to years a go in. He been like got take care my mom but dont want him worry about me or bills or whatever. i told how bout u take semster off find a job but know the job market really stiff and hard get into. I dont know what to do. I dont want to stop him being a man but dont like military at all.

i agree i not the fondest of the military. He is making a decision that he believes is good for him. Trying to do both take care of you and himself. you can't stop him from tryin his best to take his fathers position. The best way be there for him but still avoid the military. Support him on job searches remember its not what you know its who you know. But if he can't find the job he's looking for the military offers alot more now and days. Pay is great, with benefits, and education. its gonna b hard but doesn't mean you have to do it alone. thats what he is tryin to show you. Bean
